The Golden Rule: Break 1 rule a day
Rule 1
Get up early
Becoming part of the 5am club is not as easy as it sounds. It may take some time, the motivation for it will fade, so you'll need to apply discipline to get into the rhythm.
Rule 2
Have 2 workouts a day
A Krav Maga class will count as a workout.
Rule 3
Read for 30 minutes
Recommended books for Krav Maga practitioners:
- David Goggins - Can't hurt me
- Arnold - Seven Tools for life
- Simon Sinek - Start with why
Rule 4
Practice gratitude
Recognise things in your life that you are grateful for and openly show appreciation for them.
Rule 5
Apply common sense to your nutritional intake
Following a specific diet is not necessary. But a common sense approach is needed so as not to indulge too deeply. A treat is fine. Moderation is fine.
Rule 6
In bed by 22.00
Get to bed early enough to support the 5am commitment and get enough sleep and rest.
Golden Rule
Break 1 rule a day
Have a lay in one morning, skip a workout, or stay out late: Breaking just one rule a day ensures that you follow the others to maintain a high average achievement and focus without any feeling negative. Be sure to break a different rule every day so you don't start to slip behind in a particular area. You can even break the golden rule and not break the others.
