Noir Modern (2017)
In this compilation I faded the clips to a noir style black and white and added modern upbeat music to contradict it, I think it was a nice blend. The video is intended to show the range of teachings at Krav Maga Stavanger and Sandnes, weapons, groundwork, sparring, fitness, repetition drills...
Easter promo (2017)
This action trailer style video is a short promotional ad for the club. It moves a little fast, and finding clips in my library is getting tougher. This short promo gave me an idea for the next level of videos in club.
Search Campaign (2017)
Here is a selection of short advertisements that I titled my "Search Campaign". It was a series of 10 second clips showing the use of a search engine platform with the user looking up relevant criteria relating to the Krav Maga Club. Search terms such as "Effective self defence training class", "Best Krav Maga in Stavanger", "how to get in great shape", and "learn self defence FAST". There was 8 made in total in this campaign, and they entered the social media world in various combinations on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
Krav Maga & Benny Hill (2016)
This was just for fun. I have some really cool software for video making, and there are a lot of options and so I have been experimenting with them. Adding the Benny Hill music and speeding up the motion made me giggle.
1000 Kicks (2016)
I wanted to demonstrate the importance of repetition in training, and the link to muscle memory. I also like my students to know that I can still perform at a high and intense level. I know most instructors get lazy once they start teaching, but it is really important to me that I stay on top of my game. I got a Go-Pro for Christmas and was keen to try it out. So Steffén and I headed to the gym one weekend intending on doing just the one technique, but do it 1000 time each.
Getting better with technology (2015)
The classroom videos are all authentic and nothing here is choreographed. In this video I use a standard template with the software. I enjoyed making it and showing my appreciation to the students for their hard work and training with me over the year.
Late environment training (2015)
Shot during training with my Samsung phone. It´s just a few seconds of film, mostly in the dark. But if gives quite an accurate representation of how we train at night. Most clubs only ever training in a nice gym, with padded floors, wall mirror and fluorescent lighting. But for realism in training the Krav Maga club take to the streets.
Taken inspired (2015)
What If Productions and The Krav Maga Club teamed up to produce this advertisement. We were not short of volunteer actors, the thought of shooting our first specific promotional video got many members excited. For realism, we tried not to choreograph too much, the students we´re told to react and we fed off that, reshooting and improvising more along the way.
Slow-mo Promo (2012)
This was entirely shot on a Samsung Galaxy S4, all in one Saturday class. I just wanted to get some of the students on film. And so I put this together. The characters you see here are the first 7 members of the club.
