It's a classic now...Complete Krav Maga by Darren Levine and John Whitman has become a classic and an essential training guide for every practitioner of Krav Maga. It clearly explains the background and philosophy of the style as well as detailing out the basics of the style in a logical and progressive manner. It is far from being "complete", but it is one of the best starts you can get.

These are books that are in my club collection
Over the years the Krav Maga club I teach at has built up an extensive collection of books and DVDs that are available for loan to the members, often the members go on to purchase their own copy, so I began to rate and review in order to provide better advice for my students development.

MMA & boxing gloves
Please do not by the cheapest bits of thin plastic coasted foam gloves... they WILL disintegrate within weeks and you will be need to buy another pair. I have a pair of gloves that are 8 years old. As an instructor I don't get to use them with as much intensity and duration as my students use theirs, I wear them every week, and I still enjoy to occasionally spar with clients. The gloves are in good (used) condition and they have lasted because they are of good quality.

Groin protection
You will regret it if you buy a cheap groin protector... I don't need to write any more do I, it's obvious!
